Al-andalus (Mayor graphic novel, s1, p54)


Al-andalus (Southern Spain) was the longest held Arab province of Spain. The last bastion, Granada, fell on January 2, 1492 (a rather big year for Spain and the world). For quite a long period prior to 1492, Granada was surrounded by Christian provinces.
